Last weekend, I went for a walk in the woods just outside the city. I wasn’t looking for anything — no big thoughts, no plans to be productive. I just needed to breathe. Sometimes, the most grounding thing you can do is let the world be quiet around you for a while.
The Path Less Rushed
The trail was soft with pine needles, and the air smelled like cedar and something a little sweet — maybe early spring. I didn’t even have music playing. Just me, the wind, and the crunch of my boots against the earth. There’s something healing about not having to be anywhere. No phone buzzing. No deadline. Just walking. Just being.
Nature’s Little Reminders
At one point, I passed a crooked tree with soft moss growing up one side, and I stopped for a moment. Not because it was the most beautiful thing I’d ever seen, but because it reminded me of something: how important it is to grow in your own way. Messy, uneven, but still reaching for the light. I think that’s what I want Kon Korazon to feel like — a space where it’s okay to go slow, to grow quietly, and to be a little off-center.
Coming Back Home
By the time I got back to the car, my cheeks were cold and pink, and my heart felt lighter. I didn’t have any big answers or plans — just a calm I didn’t know I needed. And sometimes, that’s enough.
Closing:
If you ever feel stuck or overwhelmed, I hope you give yourself permission to step outside — even just for ten minutes. You might not find clarity, but you’ll find quiet. And in that quiet, your heart has space to breathe.
